A hand-drawn catapult that fixed itself after a miss and hit 7 of 10

After a single request in the claude.ai chat, Opus 5.5 operated the 3D program Blender directly and made an animation that looks like a clay puppet show.

Even someone who has never opened a 3D program can go from modeling to rendering in one conversation.

Connected to Higgsfield's tools, Opus 5.5 modeled a Shinkansen train in Blender. It built the train from 5,112 separate objects, and each of the 430 cabin seats is its own object.

It does not stop at the exterior. The model fills in the inside of the train too.

From one photo of a house and a floor plan, it built a Blender 3D model and a web viewer to explore it. You can view the house by construction stage, see through walls and walk around the furnished interior.

It builds the 3D model and writes the program that uses it in one continuous run.

San Francisco was recreated inside the game engine Unreal Engine. People, pets, cars and traffic all move.

Using the web 3D library Three.js, it made a scene where a building grows from its first line into massing, then details, then a finished house.

It turns the progress of an architectural design into an animation.

In Three.js, it computed fur movement on the graphics card (GPU) and made a cat that looks touchable from a single prompt.

Even demanding graphics, with every strand of fur moving, come out in one go.

Opus 5 and Opus 5.5 each built the same volcanic island scene, and the results were placed side by side. The Opus 5.5 version includes an underwater cross-section, sea creatures, plants, a mammoth and even an aurora.

The cost roughly doubled, from $1.60 to $3.40, and the scene became much richer.

Opus 5.5 was asked to make itself as a voxel character (built from small cube blocks).

From blocks alone, it builds a character with lively motion and detail.

This is a high-quality 3D scene of the 'pelican riding a bicycle', a standard test for AI models, made with the game engine library pybevy. It wrote about 1,200 lines of code over 19 minutes 16 seconds.

A task that usually ends with a single picture became a moving 3D scene.

'Image2Pachi', which turns an input image into a pachinko machine, was reworked with Opus 5.5. It includes handle control, jackpot and bonus stages, a speed-up mode and pin spacing editing.

It goes beyond looks and carries the real machine's rules into code.

A single request to Claude Code to draw an Xbox controller in SVG (vector graphics drawn with code) as well as possible returned a 334-line drawing. It then made a 3D version and a video for sharing in one go as well.

From one flat drawing, it moves on to 3D and video without getting stuck.

To celebrate the Opus 5.5 launch, a scene of a pelican riding a bicycle was built with Three.js (a JavaScript tool for drawing 3D in a web browser). The first frame of the video looks down on a city packed with high-rise buildings topped with rooftop water tanks.

A 3D city scene with hundreds of buildings is now something you can casually make to celebrate launch day.

Opus 5.5 built a 3D world made of blocks, like Minecraft. Brick houses, stone walls, streetlights, grass and a sky of cumulus clouds get realistic light and shadow, and a scene mixed with Star Wars is shown as well.

Going beyond a simple block game screen, the model can build a 3D scene with lighting and sky on its own.

GPT-6 Sol and Opus 5.5 got the same prompt to build 'Orbital Forge', a 3D web screen for setting up a base on a planet, and the results were compared side by side. GPT-6 Sol placed simple cylindrical buildings on a dark grid. Opus 5.5 drew layered towers and a build menu on an orange surface under a huge planet.

One screen shows how much the mood and detail of a scene change from model to model, even with the same single request.

Opus 5.5 was given the rigging (placing a skeleton so a model can move) and animation of a monster model in the 3D program Blender. It finished in 40 minutes, jump and bite moves included. GPT-6 Astra took 65 minutes on the same job.

Game character animation that people used to do by hand can now be handed to the model and used in real game development.
